Call for Abstracts for Papers

and/or Topics/Members for Discussion Panels

The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), in collaboration with the NASA Ames Research Center (serving as execution agent), solicited abstracts for papers and/or topics/members for discussion panels, to be presented at the 100 Year Starship Study public symposium to be held September 30th through October 2nd, 2011 in Orlando, FL.

The deadline for submitting paper abstracts and/or panel descriptions has passed. Submissions are no longer being accepted at this time. An email confirmation will be sent shortly.

We have received over 520 submissions. DARPA and NASA Ames will make final determination of acceptance of the paper, topic or panel for the symposium not later than July 29, 2011. Those selected will be notified not later than August 5, 2011. Selected papers will be due in final form no later than September 15, 2011. The symposium employs a “no paper, no podium rule,” as DARPA and NASA Ames intend to record the proceedings and make the submissions, transcripts and recordings available on the web after the symposium concludes. Papers will not be required for panel presentations. The symposium committee may contact submitters if they need further clarification about your submission.
